Meet Maybel
Maybel's Legacy is named in honor of Maybel, a sweet dog who was rescued from a difficult situation and given a second chance at life. Her story embodies our mission of Love, Life & Second Chances. Maybel's resilience and unwavering spirit inspired us to create this rescue, dedicated to saving other animals in need and providing them with the same love and care that Maybel received.
ABOUT MAYBEL~
Maybel came into our lives by chance, an emergency intake we never planned to keep—but it took only moments to realize she was already home. Jamie first met her and her siblings in Texas, and after fostering her brother, Maybel quickly showed she was something special.
Her happiness showed in her whole body, wiggling from the zigzag on her back down to her tail. She carried her Benebone everywhere, often smacking us in the back of the knee as she passed, and when she wasn’t playing, she insisted on snuggling close.
She fought bravely against the loud “vacuum monster,” yet was incredibly gentle with guinea pigs. And her sweet “hippo lips”—paired with that hippo nose—made her impossible not to love.
We intended to give her a temporary place to land, but once she arrived, we knew she wasn’t going anywhere. Maybel will always be remembered for her joy, her wiggles, and the love she poured into our home. -The Nylaan's
