Beyond the ordinary

At Maybel’s Legacy, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Every role—whether hands-on with animals or behind the scenes—helps create safety, dignity, and second chances for pets who need them most. We offer a range of opportunities so each person can contribute in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.

Volunteer Opportunities at Maybel’s Legacy

We’re so excited you’re interested in volunteering with Maybel’s Legacy! While we’re still in the early stages and don’t have many tasks yet, we’re building a list of passionate individuals who want to be part of our journey. If you complete an application now, we’ll review your application and keep your info on file and reach out as soon as opportunities open up.

Adoption & Community Engagement

Event volunteers help create warm, welcoming experiences for families meeting adoptable pets. Community outreach volunteers represent Maybel’s Legacy at local events, sharing resources and educating the public about responsible pet care and the importance of adoption.

Volunteering for events includes:

  • Setup & Tear Down
  • Greeting guests & customers
  • Representing Maybel's Legacy
  • Working with our onsite pets

Creative & Communications Roles

Photography and videography volunteers capture the images that help animals get adopted faster.

Social media and communications volunteers help share updates, write posts, and maintain our warm, restorative brand voice.

Graphic design volunteers assist with flyers and event materials while honoring our strict brand standards.

Animal Care & Direct Support

  • On‑site care shifts — sitting with moms and pups, swapping soiled towels, doing laundry, refreshing water/food, and helping animals feel calm and supported.

  • Transport — driving animals to vet appointments, foster homes, or adoption events.

Behind‑the‑Scenes Operations

Volunteers can also support fundraising efforts, assist with administrative tasks, organize supplies, or help plan events. These roles ensure our rescue runs smoothly and that we can continue serving animals and families in our community.
